Side effect of falling in love

A friend of mine called me last night. Another heart emergency thing. And another so called love problem—moving on. It’s kind of the side effect of falling in love, I think. You let yourself pulled by the gravity of love, than you feel those little staccato in your heart. If it is the right person, you’ll be his or her. If it’s not, you’ve to let go.

Letting go doesn’t mean you loose. For me, letting go is a kind of love. Well, the hard part of loving someone. But, it proves your sincerity. It shows that you love the person, enough to see him/her find his/her own happiness.

On that phone call, my friend told me that it’s impossible to forget someone you love. True. I agree. Erasing someone you care a lot from your brain is Alzheimer’s job. But I believe, the term of moving on isn’t literally forgetting someone you love. It is an expression of letting go. To forget means to not bring him or her up, to not let your heart being controlled by the person anymore. To be happy when our loves find their own love. And, to let yourself find a new one.

  1. I think you are right, no matter what people that leave an impression like that in ourselves won´t go away, it´s not the point of a relationship, even if it does not continue. Here is an article on the positive effects of falling in love if anyone is interested.
